Frieke, where do you live?

At the moment I’m living in Glabbeek, a small town not so far from Leuven. This summer I will leave my small countryside village for Antwerp. I’m very excited to explore every corner of the city!

What did you study and how was your student life?

I have a Bachelor degree in Communication Sciences and a Master in Corporate Communications from KU Leuven. I really enjoyed my student life in Leuven, but I had the feeling I wasn’t ready yet. That’s why I took my chances and got into the Belgian Advertising School. It was a year full of inspiration and a deep dive into the Belgian communication scene.

What makes you a real Brandhomie?

I guess I’m a young, passionate person and I don’t like to do things the easy or traditional way.

If you were born in history, in which era would it be and why?

The roaring 20’s. The world really started to change, especially for women, and I think it would be very interesting to see how this had an influence on the everyday life. And I can just see myself sitting in a Jazz club sippin’ from a Martini.

Describe a silly/ odd/ strange habit of you.

I never set my alarm on the hour. If I have to wake up at around 7 am I set my alarm at 07:01. I know, it’s ridiculous.

If you would be a phantasy figure, which one would it be (except a gnome who says fuck you all the time)?

Definitely a mermaid. The Little Mermaid was my favourite movie and I always wanted to be a mermaid as a kid. Now I still believe they’re pretty cool.

What do you still want to accomplish/ reach in life?

I really want to visit as many countries as possible and I want to set foot to every continent in the next few years (except maybe Antarctica, that might take a little bit longer).

How would you describe Brandhome in three words?

Different. Fast. Fun.

If you would be an animal for one day, what would it be?

A dolphin. I would love to see how life under the sea looks like. Besides that dolphins are very clever, curious and fun animals. And everyone loves them!

What are your hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?

I love shopping, travelling and good food. If it involves sushi, I’m definitely in! Besides that I like to go for a run every now and then.
