10 questions to Jeanne
Jeanne, where do you live?
Since a few months I am living in Antwerp. I was born here, but left when I was about ten years old. I studied in the Netherlands, lived in Brazil for a while, travelled trough South-America. Now I am back in Antwerp, where my roots lie. I love it here.
What did you study and how was your student life?
I’ve studied International Lifestyle studies in Tilburg, Netherlands. It was a really nice stage of my life in which I developed a lot as a person. Learned a lot about the business in which I work now, learned a lot about myself and others. And surely did a whole lot of student parties.
Jeanne, what did you do at your previous job?
In my previous job I worked for the Flemish Government. I did research for them and created strategies to make the Flemish Government a more gender-neutral place. Pretty cool job if you ask me! Especially because the subject goes close to my heart. For me equality is one of the most important things in the world.
Jeanne, describe yourself in three words?
Passionate, sensitive, openminded
What’s your greatest passion?
My greatest passion is seeing and discovering new cultures and people. Thats why I love to travel so much. I think you can learn a lot from other cultures, every time I come back from a trip I feel like my view on life has changed. And that is what is really important for me to keep on evolving and learning.
If you were born in history, in which era would it be and why?
The 50’s, just because of the way every one is dressed. They all look sooooo fab!
Describe a silly/ odd/ strange habit of you.
I am obsessed with olives, I eat them every day. (I even got an olive branch tattoo on my shoulder, that’s how much I love them!)
If you would be an animal for one day, what would it be?
A turtle, I don’t know why but I just really really like turtles.
Why did you chose to be a strategic consultant? (and why not being a nurse?)
As I told you before, for me its very important to keep on evolving, I feel that in this business there is always room for more growth and I love that about my job! Secondly I love the social impact I can make with my ideas, I always aim for ideas in which I can improve the quality of life and make the world a better place.
What are your hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?
I love to cook, sing to really bad Dutch rap music and drink wine. (All at the same time)
