New in town…
10 questions to Dominique
Dominique, where do you live?
I live in Dworp. What??? You’ve never heard of Dworp? That’s so weird normal! It’s a small green village just outside of Brussels. The nicest thing to living there is that I live surrounded by nature, and it’s only 15 minutes from the city centre of Brussels… But you could easily add 45 minutes to that during rush hour.
What did you study and how was your student life?
My student life was a bit longer than it should have been, but I had so much fun. I studied interior architecture in Brussels and Antwerp. When I was in my third Bachelor, I started a clothing company called Paperclip with my best friend. We came up with the idea while drinking some beers in a bar, but it ended up as a great experience. It’s thanks to this business that I discovered what I really wanted to do: graphic design.
What makes you a real Brandhomie?
I guess I’m a bit weird… Whether that’s positive or negative, that’s up to you. But at Brandhome, I fit right in.
What’s your greatest passion?
It’s simple, I love cars! The way they look, ride, feel … I would love to drive a different car of my choosing each week. I therefore also love driving, and that’s a good thing because Dworp and Antwerp aren’t neighbours. I’m also restoring an old Citroën 2cv with my brother.
Describe a silly/odd/strange habit of yours.
I don’t know why, but every time I’m drawing, the tip of my tongue sticks out of my mouth. Besides that I’m very normal… NOT!
Dominique, if you were a superhero, which one would you be and why?
I would be Batman. He doesn’t really have superpowers, but I have loved him since I was a kid. But Deadpool is also great just because of his attitude.
What was the last gift you gave someone?
I gave my brother a bottle of wine for his birthday. It’s the same day as mine, but with 3 years in between.
How would you describe Brandhome in three words?
Orange. Very orange.
What are your hobbies? What do you do in your spare time?
I play hockey with all my friends, so the games are important but the 3rd time at the bar also. Besides that I love to travel to new places I’ve never been before.
How would your family/friends describe you?
My family always calls me “l’artiste”, so that doesn’t need much explanation.
